2. Jake Knotts
Lexington County GOP Sen. Jake Knotts has always wielded a lot of power around these parts, but this year he’s really outdone himself: A man paid by Knotts’ campaign filed a lawsuit targeted at a Knotts opponent that has resulted in over 200 candidates being removed from ballots statewide so far. Knotts then killed an attempt by his fellow legislators to fix the problem. And what’s power, after all, if you can’t use it?
